Pop-Tarts, one of America’s favourite breakfast and snacktime treats, are pre-baked pastries loaded with flavourful fillings and usually frosted with an icing to match. They’re great straight out of the box, but even better toasted to warm and gooey perfection in a toaster or microwave oven.

Pop-Tarts were first introduced by Kellogg in 1964 and advertised by an animated, anthropomorphic toaster named Milton. The first frosted variety was released shortly after, in 1967.
