Hostess Twinkies are a golden sponge cake pumped full of a creamy vanilla filling. They were invented in 1930 and, other than a couple of brief issues (and one pretty seriously long issue!), they have been in production ever since – from bakery to store every day to ensure a continual fresh supply of Twinkies across the US. Following their recent lapse in production, we’re all glad to hear they’ve made “the sweetest comeback in the history of ever!”
